Which platform is best for a blog?

I decided on the topic of the blog(Previous post), I have considered which platform to use. There are many blogging platforms out there, and people have different opinions about each platform.

I have researched a few blog platforms I can use for my blog.

First of all, I have considered some features in the blogging platforms.

  • Easy to set up.
  • Requires no coding skill as a professional.
  • Should be quick to learn.

Therefore, here are some features that you should know about...

1. Design: the blogging platform should offer various design options that you can easily use on your blog. Also, customization of design is easy.

2. Features extension: Every blog sites come with many in-built features. However, there should be an option to easily integrate plugin tools and scripts on your blog. Without these important features, your blog will get stuck at a later stage.

3. Easy learning those tools: The platform should be easy for anyone, any age to learn how to use the platform.

4. Support: Where would go if you have a simple question about your platform. This is where the support comes into the picture. Some of the platforms have a community that is always willing to help beginners.

5. Mobile friendly: The platform should let your blog from mobile. A lot of us like to write or blog when we are traveling. This may not be a big requirement for a business blog, but it’s still an important factor. Even if you not planning to blog from mobile, you can do various activities like moderate blog comments, reply to comments, upload pictures from the comfort of your mobile phone.

Conclusion: platforms I choose...

These are the kinds of scenarios you need to be thinking about when choosing your platform.

  • WordPress.org - This is a self-hosted paid platform. You will need to buy a domain and hosting fee or extra extensions.
  • Wix.com- This platform also paid platform, but once you buy yearly membership, you can create a domain, and Wix provides hosting.
  • BlogSpot by Google - This is a Google platform, and the architecture is completely different than WordPress. However, blogging on BlogSpot is easy and beginner-friendly.
  • Tistory.com/Naver.com - If you are Korean or blogging activity in Korea base, you may use these platforms to attract traffic from Korea. This is similar to BlogSpot, powered by Daum(Tistory), and Naver(Naver blog)

At this stage, I choose the blog platforms to start with BlogSpot and Tistory blogs. For Beginner and personal blogging, these platforms are easy to use and it is free.
